I'm creating an ad for [BRAND], which is a [WHAT DOES BRAND DO/INDUSTRY].
The main themes and unique value propositions of [BRAND] are:
[LIST USPs]
I’d like to use a paraprosdokian in the copy. The copy should be short, memorable, and have a twist of humor/irony to them.
Here are some examples of paraprosdokians:
- I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.
- Always remember you're unique. Just like everyone else.
- If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
- Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
- Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
- Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
- I always take life with a grain of salt. Plus a slice of lemon, and a shot of tequila.
- The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it's still on my list.
- War does not determine who is right ... only who is left.
- Where there's a will, I want to be in it.
- I haven’t slept for 10 days, because that would be too long.
But the above examples are not ads. Remember that this is an ad, the goal is to get customers for Pok Pok, so the copy should reflect the brand's USPs. Use copywriting best practices. You should use familiar phrases and subvert expectations with an unexpected twist in the back half of the sentence. You can also suggest imagery to go with the copy that may help create the twist and contrast.
